The steeple of an 1876 Vermont Church can easily grab your attention. A modest 19th century hand crafted building made with milled lumber from the land by hard working individuals with a purpose to create a gathering place for the community. This building has survived 3 different centuries of celebration, grieving and VT weather. We believe that PRESERVATION is crucial in the values at Dirt Church. The East Haven Chapel has stood the test of time and remains a pillar here in East Haven. It’s a beacon to the generations that pass by each day, passed through its doors and now can visit with an eye to the strength of our past. To value the present we must cherish the past. The East Haven Chapel remains strong on its granite foundation and its sturdy balloon frame structure. For 150 years this building has been cared for and preserved and we aim to keep it this way, for ALL to enjoy!
